Outside Counsel Solutions

As well as serving clients as outside counsel, SWA can offer various outsourcing solutions to clients:

Legal Consulting Team

SWA can serve as an extension of your in-house legal team by providing attorneys who work exclusively for you and act as a legal consulting team.  By working closely with your in-house counsel, the team becomes very knowledgeable about your business operations and business objectives, as well as your company’s legal risk profile.

Such a team is able to review a high volume of contracts, improve the quality of your legal documents, strategize with you to reevaluate your legal risk profile ensuring that all terms are the product of careful thought and advice.  They are also able to negotiate directly with counterparties and produce high quality mark ups of documents being negotiated.  They are dedicated to your company’s immediate needs and you benefit from the pricing advantage without sacrificing the quality of the work.

Document Review

Our litigators conduct and manage all forms of discovery in the context of their matters.  Most document discovery is handled electronically.

In document production, for instance:

  • Client documents are uploaded to SWA’s FTP site;
  • Loaded into Concordance and IPRO databases;
  • Reviewed, tagged, and bates-stamped in Concordance and IPRO; and
  • A production set is posted to the FTP site for burning onto a DVD and production to opposing counsel.

In addition to discovery in matters litigated by SWA attorneys, SWA has successfully assembled and managed high-quality document-review teams to assist law firms and clients with discovery in cases they are litigating.  SWA taps into the sizeable pool of U.S. attorneys residing in Israel and also has worked with Israel-based foreign attorneys and U.S.-trained paralegals.

SWA has performed document-review projects with hard-copy documents and electronically stored information, at SWA’s offices in Jerusalem and on-site at Israeli client offices.

Once the nature, timing, and scope of a review are determined, SWA enlists qualified attorneys available to assist on the project, and proposes a team of reviewers to litigation counsel or the client for their approval of each attorney.

Depending on the assignment, SWA may be able to staff a discovery project with talented attorneys who are fluent in Hebrew or who have scientific backgrounds, including attorneys holding degrees in electrical engineering, molecular biology, and microbiology.
